It is extremely important that women receive all the support that they need from the beginning of their pregnancy. Becoming pregnant out of wedlock with my oldest daughter when I was working in Columbia, SC was an awful experience. If memory serves me, I was employed with credit bureau affiliated with Equifax. My supervisor told the Director that I she believed that I was pregnant so he summons me into his office to ask if I was in fact pregnant. He was a White man. I told him yes and he immediately told me that I could not longer work there was an unmarried woman who was pregnant. That was in 1974. I was horrified that I had no alternative but to return home.
I did not file for public assistance or food stamps as my mother suggested and basically used the money in my savings account to support myself until it completely ran out, then I filed for unemployment benefits to keep from filing for public assistance. However, it would have been a good idea to use the public assistance at that time because that is the reason that it was created, to help mothers and children in need when they are low on their funds and need assistance.
Not only financially and with food stamps, but also with the prenatal care and birth control assistance.
Also, there are instances when an abortion is necessary and it should be up to the mother to decide if this is something that she should be doing at that stage in her life due to her circumstances. I, in fact, had to have an abortion right before turned the age of 18. I unfortunately became pregnant during the end of my high school year and was no way ready to have a baby that would disrupt the plans in my future education and career pursuit.
I believe that abortions are necessary and stand behind all women who decide to take advantage of that route in her life. In no way should a man be able to make any decisions over a woman’s body or reproductive system.
“There have been more than 400 abortion restrictions included in the states since 2011,” Wen wrote. “Serving our patients MUST include fighting those restrictions in legislatures and at the ballot box.”
To anyone that knows a thing about Planned Parenthood, Wen’s admission is not news. The only thing newsworthy about it is that she is coming right out and saying it.
Wen’s admission goes hand in hand with the organization’s new billboard campaign in Iowa, where they are encouraging women who have had abortions to stand up proud and take credit for doing the courageous thing (unfilteredpatriot.com).
Reported by the CDC
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began abortion surveillance reports in 1969 to document the number and characteristics of women obtaining legal induced abortions. Many states conduct abortion surveillance. CDC compiles the information that states collect to produce national estimates. CDC’s surveillance system compiles information on legal induced abortions only.
Between 1970 and 2015, CDC reports nearly 45.7 million legal induced abortions.
Note that there is a large decrease in reported abortions between 1997 and 1998. This is because CDC's reporting areas were reduced from 52 in 1997 to 47 in 1998. The actual decline from 1997 to 1998 in those 47 reporting areas was only 2%.
Note: Not all states reported for each year. See citation for list of states not reporting.[2]

To shed just a little more light as to men having a say so on what a woman should or should not do to her body as it relates to abortions, allow me to share this passage from Design Mom Website:
I’m a mother of six, and a Mormon. I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise. I’ve been listening to men grandstand about women’s reproductive rights, and I’m convinced men actually have zero interest in stopping abortion. Here’s why…
If you want to stop abortion, you need to prevent unwanted pregnancies. And men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. No for real, they are. Perhaps you are thinking: IT TAKES TWO! And yes, it does take two for _intentional_ pregnancies.
But ALL unwanted pregnancies are caused by the irresponsible ejaculations of men. Period. Don’t believe me? Let me walk you through it. Let’s start with this: women can only get pregnant about 2 days each month. And that’s for a limited number of years.
That makes 24 days a year a woman might get pregnant. But men can _cause_ pregnancy 365 days a year. In fact, if you’re a man who ejaculates multiple times a day, you could cause multiple pregnancies daily. In theory a man could cause 1000+ unwanted pregnancies in just one year.
And though their sperm gets crappier as they age, men can cause unwanted pregnancies from puberty till death. So just starting with basic biology + the calendar it’s easy to see men are the issue here.
I actually found the breakdown to be quite interesting and do believe there is a lot of truth too. Men know exactly what they are doing beforehand and should stop before ejaculation because if bringing a baby into this world was not discussed, they need to be considerate when engaging in the sexual act. But men are selfish and only think of themselves in this instance. That is the reason that there are so many single mothers out there without the support of fathers in the child’s life. Additionally, just look at the number of single men with multiply babies from different mothers and taking care of none. Both the men and women are responsible sure, however, the man more so in my opinion as well.
The budget proposal that Donald Trump has for Fiscal Year 2019 is horrible. He does not care anything about the poor people in the United States. He does not have a clue about the suffering of the poor people and how they have to manage to survive each day of their life and the challenges that they must endure to live a half way decent life.
On February 12, the Trump administration released its budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2019 and unsurprisingly, it is an unmitigated disaster for abortion rights and reproductive health.
The proposed budget, which serves as an indication of the president’s priorities for the coming year, contains historic, sweeping (and sadly predictable) cuts aimed at women’s health in a number of ways: attacking Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid, defunding Planned Parenthood, funneling money to abstinence-only programs and slashing international family planning funding (Shaw, 2018).
Additionally, it is important for our children to receive the nourishment that they need to grow with healthy bodies. Without nourishing food, property healthcare, the black children are primarily doomed. The black community is already at the lowest of the list now and to not have proper healthcare, planned parenthood for the teens and older mothers, nourishing foods through the SNAP benefits received will be a total injustice to our children and to the black community as well.
When I worked as a school teacher in the public-school system from August 2008 to June 2019, I came to realize that our children were being taken advantage of because they were not provided all that was necessary to keep them in good health. There were children that left for home on Fridays and did not get a meal until they returned to school on that Monday morning. This is something that I had first hand knowledge of working in the school system in Hampton County.
Students depended on that breakfast first thing in the morning before school began and often asked for seconds when there were meals left over.
