White Supremacy and Racism

Updated: Aug 13, 2018

We are still very much living in a world filled with hatred for Black people and any other race that is not of the White race. Whites believe that they are superior to every race in this entire world. Not because it is true, but because they believe it to be true in their minds.

We, as Black people, must program our minds to be that of our African Ancestors. No, many of you, nor I have ever lived in or visited the country of Africa, but that is where our roots lie. We all have been programmed to have the minds of the White society in some manner (to fit into their so-called world). We are living in a confused sense of identity and taking on much of the mindset of how White American deems is the right way to live (still somewhat on a plantation). We, as Blacks, are not afforded all of the privileges of any other race. We are looked down on and treated less than second class citizens. Just because we are not living in the shack houses nor working in the fields presently, there is another form of slavery that has been launched against Black people and all other races.

In a book written by Eduardo Bonilla-Silva (2001), he discusses the White Supremacy and Racism mindset. I want to share this first question that was at the beginning of the literature in his book:

“Why do blacks and most racial minorities lag behind whites in terms of income, wealth, occupational and health status, educational attainment and other relevant social indicators?”

The aforementioned question was the first question, as I stated previously, that the author addressed within the context of this piece of literature. The author first stated that there are the “deniers”. Those are the individuals (analysts) who deny that there is, in fact, a serious racial problem in the country. However, as we can see now in 2018, it does exist and NEVER not existed. It was just given a disguise, a new face as a huge elaborate scheming cover-up to avoid adhering to “Title V11 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which is a federal law prohibiting employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, and religion. It generally applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including federal, state, and local governments." Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (US)

I was told as late as the year 2000 or 2002 (sometime during that period) when employed by the SC State Ethics Commission that there was no money for me to have paid training. However, the young white female employee (approximately 28 years old at the time) received paid training to get her writing skills up to par (a skill in which I already exemplified). She also received paid training to learn about Budgeting and some other areas of her newly established promotion (those areas escape my mind at this time which was more 15 years ago). I was approximately 48 years old at the time with a substantial amount of experience and education. We both received a promotion with an increase in salary. My increase was for $5,000.00 and the young white female increase was for $8,000.00 or somewhere around that figure. Although I did appreciate the increase, it was the principle and not within the law. I was looked over as the most qualified in experience, skill, education, as well as the employee with the longest tenure. Where was the fairness in equality? Blatant discrimination is what it was.

Because I was not going to allow anyone to stop me from my personal growth, I applied for financial aid to enroll into graduate school to obtain my Masters of Arts degree in Human Resource Management so that I could actually perform the responsibilities of my promotion as Human Resource Director with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission. One cannot be effective on their jobs half stepping and I was certainly no half stepper in any sense of the word.

So, please tell me how can anyone say that the Blacks are living the American Dream? As soon as we think that we are possibly getting ahead, White America knocks us right back down because of the Slave Master mentality and White Supremacy mindset. This is also during the same time that my mind was attacked by demonic forces that caused me to become delusional, confused, childish acting, etc.

Donald Trump has really brought all of this to fruition once again and it is most definitely getting worse for our people. It is as if the Civil Rights Movement never took place.

There are so many of our young boys and girls in prison wasting away their lives behind bars simply because someone wants to control another human being. Something has to be done about the decent human treatment of another person’s right and their life. It is cold-hearted, hateful, mean-spirited deep down in the bones of the White Supremacy mindsets.

Additionally, research has indicated from an NAACP fact sheet compiled in 2015 that the United States makes up about 5% of the world’s population and has 21% of the world’s prisoners (https://www.naacp.org/criminal-justice-fact-sheet/)

The races Whites do not care about enduring prison time for shooting a Black man or child in the back and killing them because they are so certain that they are still in control of all the power in this nation. We as the citizens of this nation better pull together and get the right, caring, compassionate politicians in the White House, State House and all of these other public offices that should be providing fair and equal treatment, services, and opportunities to every human being in this nation.
